About Jewelry Care
Yes, the settings and chains are silver and will tarnish and need to be cleaned. It will tarnish less quickly if stored in a cool, dry place. The glass does not need cleaning.
The best way to clean the silver in the jewelry is with a silver jewelry cleaning cloth that can be purchased in the jewelry section of most department stores. These cloths have an abrasive side that removes the tarnish and a smooth side that polishes the silver. Do not use liquid cleaning solution as the liquid will loosen the patina overtime and your jewelry will lose it’s iridescent shine.
Getting the jewelry will not ruin it. However, repeated soaking can ruin the jewelry by loosening and removing the patina. Avoid any activities that will resulting in soaking the glass in water/liquid.
